SURGICAL MASK production lines
Surgical masks are made up of a multi-layered structure, generally by covering a layer of textile with non-woven bonded fabric on both sides. Non-wovens, which are cheaper to make and cleaner thanks to their disposable nature, are made with three or four layers.
The process is fully automated, and the product parameters are easily controlled and monitored by the operating system. Our automated machine continuously assembles 3 layers of non-woven fabric in the following process:
- Unwinding rolls of the non-woven web and aligning the materials
- Folding the material over the internal string
- Forming and welding the mask material, sealing the string on the inside of the mask
- Cutting the roll of masks into individual pieces
- Flipping the masks 180 degrees
- Placing and welding the elastic ear bands
